Effective January 23, applicants for employment authorization under category (c)(8), Pending Asylum and Withholding of Removal Applicants and Applicants for Pending Asylum under the ABC Settlement Agreement, may file Form I-765 online.
What to Expect
- 150 days after properly filing Form I-589, Application for Asylum and Withholding of Removal, individuals with pending asylum applications may file Form I-765. The filing date can be found on the receipt notice.
- To file Form I-765 online, applicants must create a USCIS online account at my.uscis.gov.
- Online filing for Form I-765 is only available to certain categories of Form I-765 applicants. USCIS may deny applicants who file under a category they are not eligible for.
