The UK Home Office announced that from 4 am on Friday, February 11, the government will disband testing and other requirements for fully vaccinated travelers.
What to Expect
- Fully vaccinated travelers will only have to complete a Passenger Locator Form (PLF).
- Travelers who are not fully vaccinated will need to take a pre-departure test and a PCR test on or before day 2 after they arrive in the UK. They will not need to self-isolate on arrival, and will only need to do so on receipt of a positive result.
- Minors, children under 18 years of age, will continue to be considered fully vaccinated, regardless of their individual vaccination status.
The UK recognizes vaccine certificates from over 180 countries and territories worldwide, and the full list of eligible countries and territories can be found on gov.uk.
The red list category will remain in place as a first line of defense should future variants arise. Though, at the time of this announcement, there are no countries on the red list.
