UKVI Extends BRC and BRP to June 2025

The UK Home Office issued a reminder to travelers to check their eVisa has all the correct details. If a traveler has an issue with their eVisa, there are steps you can take to try to resolve it.

  1. Sign in to the UKVI account to check that the eVisa is linked to the current passport or travel document.
  2. Travelers need to carry their current passport or travel document with them.
  3. Travelers should also get a share code to prove their immigration status before they travel. The carrier may ask to see it. A share code is valid for 90 days.

If a biometric residence card (BRC) issued through the EU Settlement Scheme or biometric residence permit (BRP) expires on or after December 31, 2024, travelers may be able to use it to travel to the UK before or on June 1, 2025, provided the holder still has permission to stay in the UK. Travelers should carry it with them – their carrier may ask to see it.
