UAE | Re-Entry Permit Required for Residency Visa Holders Outside of UAE for Six Months

The UAE has introduced a new re-entry permit for residency visa holders who have been outside of the Emirates for six months or longer.

Key Details
  • To return to the UAE after six months, residency visa holders must submit their application from outside of the UAE. When the application is approved, the visa holder must reenter the country within 30 days of the approval date.
  • An applicant’s visa status must still be active.
  • The issuance fee is Dh800, and the agency fee for the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) is  Dh150. If the application is rejected, the issuance fee will be refunded.
  • The re-entry permit will be delivered via email to the applicant.
