The government of Switzerland is expanding and improving the online immigration service, Easygov.swiss, for companies.
From May 24, it will be possible to process cross-border commuter permits for European Union (EU) and European Free Trade Association (EFTA) nationals with the pilot cantons of Thurgau and Zurich.
From the announcement, “cross-border commuter permits are expected to follow at the end of this year or in the course of 2023 for further pilot cantons, namely Aargau, Basel-Stadt, and St. Gallen. This will be followed by permits for workers from third countries and posted workers (service providers from the EU/EFTA and third countries).”
