The government of Spain has set the new minimum wage or salary requirement from January 1, 2024 applicable to permanent and temporary workers and domestic employees.
- This royal decree will take effect from January 1 and December 31, 2024, back dating to January 1, 2024.
- The new amounts represent a five percent increase compared to the previous year.
- The review of the interprofessional minimum wage established in this royal decree will not affect the wages received by workers when such wages as a whole and on an annual basis are higher than said minimum wage.
