On June 28, the prime ministers of Spain and New Zealand announced that their countries would expand the Working Holiday Scheme, also known as the Youth Mobility Scheme.
Highlights
- Individuals between 18-30 years old may apply.
- Beneficiaries can visit the other country for one year — they can work for six months and then study or travel for six months.
- Beneficiaries cannot hold a permanent job or work for the same employer for more than three months.
- Under the expansion, 2,000 Spanish citizens and 2,000 New Zealand citizens will be eligible for the program.
