From May 5, travelers who were fully vaccinated in South Korea will be exempt from the quarantine requirement and will only be required to self-monitor for 14 days instead. For all other travelers, the 14-day quarantine requirement remains in place.
Who is Eligible?
- South Korean Nationals and Long-Term Foreign Residents who completed their COVID-19 vaccination in South Korea at least 14 days before leaving South Korea.
- Upon return, the traveler tests negative for COVID-19 and is asymptomatic, and again tests negative on days 6/7 and 12/13.
Exempted travelers will have to produce proof of their vaccination, install the Self-Quarantine App, and get their immigration records checked to receive a Quarantine Notice.
