The Government of Singapore has provided additional details for the Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) and the application requirements for the fully vaccinated travelers seeking entry into Singapore.
VTL countries include Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Denmark, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States. From November 14, the Republic of Korea will also be included.
Foreign travelers and visitors (e.g., Short-Term Visitors and Long-Term Pass holders) must apply for a Vaccinated Travel Pass (VTP). Accompanying children who are aged 12 and younger and are unvaccinated do not need to apply. Applications must be submitted between 7 and 30 days before the intended date of entry into Singapore and be supported with the vaccination certificate QR code (if available).
All Singapore citizens and permanent residents do not need to apply for a VTP to travel under the VTL. However, travelers must comply with the requirements stated in this travel checklist.
VTL Requirements
- All travelers must be fully vaccinated for at least two weeks before arrival in Singapore and must have valid proof of vaccination issued in any VTL country/region or Singapore. Unvaccinated children younger than 12 can travel to Singapore via the VTL if accompanied by a fully vaccinated VTL traveler.
- Accepted proof of vaccination includes the EU Digital COVID Certificates (EU DCC), SMART Health Cards, National Health Service (NHS) COVID Passes, BruHealth mobile app, and, for travelers vaccinated in Singapore, Digital HealthCerts provided by Notarise.
- Travelers entering Singapore must arrive on a designated VTL flight and have only travelers to or transited via VTL countries in the last 14 days before departure to Singapore.
What to Expect
- Requirements for Travelers:
- Take a COVID-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction Test (“PCR test”) within 48 hours before departure for Singapore at an internationally accredited or recognized laboratory, clinic, or medical facility, and test negative for COVID-19;
- Take a COVID-19 PCR test on arrival in Singapore;
- Remain in self-isolation until a negative COVID-19 PCR test result taken in Singapore is conveyed (typically within 24 hours);

Erickson Insights
The VTL was first piloted with travelers from Germany and Brunei. The success of that program has prompted the Singapore government to gradually expand international travel routes. The Government of Singapore frequently updates guidance, and travelers should stay informed of any changes via the website.
