The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore announced on Thursday, March 24, that Singapore would reopen its borders to all fully vaccinated travelers. This policy change will also mean the end of the existing vaccinated travel lanes (VTL) and other travel arrangements that have been in place throughout the pandemic. Changes go into effect as of 11:59 pm on March 31, 2022.
Key Highlights
- Fully vaccinated travelers, and children under 12 years of age, will only have to provide a pre-departure COVID-19 test to enter Singapore. Fully vaccinated travelers will not have to test on arrival or quarantine.
- Travelers will no longer have to apply for entry approvals or take a designated VTL to enter Singapore quarantine-free.
- There will no longer be quotas or limitations on the number of daily arrivals.
Long-term pass-holders and short-term visitors who are not fully vaccinated are generally not permitted to enter Singapore. Those with exceptions must take a pre-departure test within two days of departure, complete a seven-day stay-home notice, and take a PCR test after seven days.
