From January 30, 2026, Singapore will enforce stricter restrictions preventing high-risk travelers from entering the country. Initiated in the flight-booking process and managed by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority, this new policy requires all incoming travelers to meet the security protocol for entry into Singapore.
What to Expect
This new policy will include a detailed screening process for travelers to Singapore. Airlines will be required to submit advance traveler information to the ICA, which will then assess the data to identify any individuals who may not meet the entry criteria.
Travelers who are flagged for security concerns through the screening process will be issued a non-boarding directive notice.
Travelers who are flagged for security concerns and therefore denied entry into Singapore can submit a request for approval through the ICA Feedback Channel. Travelers must submit their request and receive approvals before booking a new flight to Singapore.
