Singapore | COVID Policies Eased for Unvaccinated Visitors

Singapore’s COVID-19 task force announced a range of policy and requirement changes on August 24.

Key Changes from August 29
  • Non-fully vaccinated long-term pass holders and short-term visitors will not have to apply for approval to enter Singapore.
  • Non-fully vaccinated travelers will not be required to complete a 7-day SHN upon arrival or undergo a PCR test to end the SHN.

Non-fully vaccinated travelers will continue to have to provide a negative pre-departure test within two days of departure for Singapore and obtain COVID-19 travel insurance for their visit.

Additional policy changes to go into effect from August 29 include ending the requirement to wear masks indoors, except in healthcare facilities and on public transport, and lifting the mask requirement and other restrictions in preschools.

Key Changes from October 1
  • Work pass renewals for work-permit holders and S Pass holders working in industries other than construction, marine shipyard, and process sectors or those residing in dormitories will no longer be subject to vaccination requirements.

Individuals applying for new long-term passes and work passes will continue to be subject to COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
