Singapore | Automated Immigration Clearance Lanes Expand to Include More Jurisdictions

The Singaporean government announced the expanded availability of the automated lanes for immigration clearance without the need for prior enrolment. The Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) stated in a news release on April 25 that the service has expanded to passport holders from 51 jurisdictions. When the automated lanes were introduced in May 2022, they were available to travelers from 16 countries.

What to Expect
    • Within three days of arrival, eligible visitors can submit their SG Arrival Card through the MyICA mobile app or the ICA’s website. Submission is free.
    • Travelers will be directed to the automated lanes and find that their biometrics are automatically input during the clearance step.
    • The electronic visit pass, which includes the enrollment information, is sent to the email after immigration clearance.

Enrolled visitors can use the automated lanes when they depart Singapore and on future visits.
