Schools Not Shelters Act Passes the House

On July 20, the Schools Not Shelters Act (H.R. 3941) passed the House with 218 Republicans and 4 Democrats voting yes. The Schools Not Shelters Act would prohibit publicly funded schools from providing shelter or housing to any non-U.S. national who entered the country irregularly. It is unlikely that the Democrat-controlled Senate will consider the bill for a vote.
