Saudi Arabia Regularizes Status of Yemeni Workers

The Saudi Press Agency has announced that, on October 11, 2026, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development began regularizing the status of all Yemeni nationals in Saudi Arabia who lack legal status and are covered by the directives. The process is being carried out through the Qiwa and Musaned platforms in coordination with relevant government agencies.

The Ministry indicated that the regularization process will continue for two months across all regions of Saudi Arabia. It covers Yemeni workers whose residency permits have expired, as well as those reported absent from work, provided they have valid travel documents and meet the approved procedures and regulations.

The Ministry noted that workers whose residency permits have expired can transfer to other employers who need their services through the relevant digital platforms. The Qiwa platform handles transfers of professional workers, while the Musaned platform handles transfers of support workers. These services are provided in coordination with the Absher platform, eliminating the need to visit government offices in person.
