The Government of the Netherlands reclassified South Africa as a very high-risk zone, without a variant of concern. The change went into effect on January 16, 2022.
What to Expect

- Persons over 12 must present a negative result of a COVID-19 PCR test, not older than 48 hours before departure, or a negative antigen test not older than 24 hours before departure.
- Persons over 12 must self-quarantine for ten days.
The Netherlands has also shorted the length of validity for vaccinations to nine months.
