May 2014 Visa Bulletin Released

The U.S. Department of State has released the Visa Bulletin for May 2014.  Philippines EB-3 saw the most movement, advancing by 139 days.  India EB-2 remains at November 15, 2004 and China EB-3 remains at October 1, 2012.

EB-1

  • All countries remain current.

EB-2

  • Persons in the EB-2 category and born in China are current if they have a priority date of April 15, 2009 or earlier. This category has advanced by 38 days.
  • Persons in the EB-2 category and born in India are current if they have a priority date of November 15, 2004 or earlier.  This category remains unchanged.
  • The worldwide quota, Mexico, and the Philippines remain current.

EB-3 

  • Persons in the EB-3 category and falling into the worldwide quota are current if they have a priority date of October 1, 2012 or earlier.  This category remains unchanged.
  • Persons in the EB-3 category and born in China are current if they have a priority date of October 1, 2012 or earlier. This category remains unchanged.
  • Persons in the EB-3 category and born in India are current if they have a priority date of October 01, 2003 or earlier. This category has advanced by 16 days.
  • Persons in the EB-3 category and born in Mexico are current if they have a priority date of October 1, 2012 or earlier. This category remains unchanged.
  • Persons in the EB-3 category and born in the Philippines are current if they have a priority date of November 1, 2007 or earlier. This category has advanced by 139 days.

EB-4 and EB-5

  • All countries remain current.

Family Sponsored Preference Categories

The F2A category pertains to Spouses and Children of Permanent Residents.  Among the family-based categories, the F2A category is of particular interest to those individuals awaiting the arrival of their immediate family members.  This category remains unchanged from last month’s Visa Bulletin.
