The Expatriate Services Division (ESD) of the Immigration Department of Malaysia has announced that, effective November 1, 2026, further enhanced Sub-Product services will be available via ESD Online.
This follows the announcement in August 2024 of the redeployment of services to ESD Online.
The following services will be included in ESD Online from November 1, 2026:
- Permission to Study (PTS): The PTS application feature has been enhanced for Employment Pass (EP) and Dependent Pass (DP) holders to submit their applications via the Sub-Product menu in ESD Online:
- EP holders: PTS applications, which previously needed to be submitted manually at ESD Putrajaya, may now be submitted online via the Sub-Product menu in ESD Online.
- DP holders: The online PTS application, previously available only to children of EP holders, has now been extended to spouses holding a DP. Eligible spouses may submit their PTS applications via the Sub-Product menu in ESD Online.
- Permission to Work at a Second Location: Applications for Permission to Work at a Second Location, which previously needed to be submitted manually at ESD Putrajaya, may now be submitted online via the Sub-Product menu in ESD Online.
With the implementation of these enhancements, eligible applicants can now submit the above applications through the Sub-Product menu in ESD Online, where applicable.
Physical submissions for the above Sub-Products will no longer be accepted at the Immigration Department or MYXpats Centre counters.
