As of July 31, 2023, employers that want to hire a TFW requiring a LMIA in Saskatchewan must include a copy of a valid provincial certificate of registration, or proof of exemption, along with their Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) application. Service Canada will consider applications without this required information as incomplete.
- Similar requirements already exist for LMIA applications where the position is destined for British Colombia or Manitoba.
- Apply for a Certificate of Registration under Sask’s The Foreign Worker Recruitment and Immigration Services Act (FWRISA): https://www.saskatchewan.ca/residents/moving-to-saskatchewan/hire-a-foreign-worker/recruit-and-hire-workers-with-sinp/apply-for-a-certificate-of-registration
