As part of Budget 2025, Ireland’s minimum wage will increase (from €12.70) to €13.50 per hour from January 1, 2025, resulting in an annualised salary of €27,378 for the purposes of a permit application based on a standard 39-hour working week.

Employers should take this into account when calculating the salary of applicants for Intra-Company Transfer and Contract for Services Employment Permits. The basic salary of applicants for these types of permits must meet the State’s minimum wage rates prior to the addition of allowable benefits to achieve the salary threshold.
