Ireland Addresses It’s Backlog with Overtime

The Government of Ireland announced that applications from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) for employment permits are up 50 percent over the same period last year. Standard application processing times are taking around 12 weeks instead of 6 weeks.

To address the backlog, staff of the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment (DETE) are working overtime, including weekends.
