Immigration Nerds Talk About the Immigrant Post-Conviction Relief Project

In this week’s episode of the Immigration Nerds podcast, we talk to Rose Cahn, Senior Staff Attorney for the Immigrant Legal Resource Center.

Rose oversees the resource center’s pro bono Immigrant Post-Conviction Relief Project, coauthors manuals at the nexus of criminal and immigration law, and was instrumental in drafting California Penal Code § 1473.7, a landmark piece of legislation that created a legal framework to vacate unconstitutional convictions.

We discuss how industry leaders can better support the rights of immigrants with criminal convictions at a local and national policy level.
