Immigration Nerds Talk About Refugee Assistance During a Crisis

In this week’s Immigration Nerds podcast, we talk to the Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service‘s President and CEO Krish O’Mara Vignarajah about LIRS’s work globally to welcome and support refugees and migrants entering the United States. LIRS is one of nine refugee resettlement agencies working with the Office of Refugee Resettlement and one of only two that serves unaccompanied refugee minors.

With more than 1 million refugees fleeing Ukrainian borders so far, O’Mara Vignarajah shares LIRS’s resettlement initiatives, assistance programs, and how everyday citizens can help during these trying times.
