Greece Expands Testing Requirement Exemption

The Government of Greece announced that travelers from the European Union and Schengen Area, the UK and other non-EU countries that have joined the EU Digital Covid Certificate system, and from the United States, Canada, and Australia, do not require a negative test for COVID-19 upon entering Greece if they are fully vaccinated.

Provided these exempt travelers have a valid vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated during the last nine months or have received a booster dose (without time restriction), or hold a COVID-19 recovery certificate valid for 180 days after the date of issue, they can enter and move freely within Greece.

Visitors who are not fully vaccinated may enter Greece by presenting a negative PCR test, performed within 72 hours of travel, or a negative rapid antigen test, completed within 24 hours of travel.

Arrivals from all other countries must present a PCR test taken 72 hours before arrival or an antigen performed 24 hours before departure.

All travelers, regardless of their vaccination status, must complete the Passenger Locator Form (PLF).
