The Government of Germany has amended its high-risk list, adding 12 more countries and removing 13 other countries. Over the last three weeks, more than 90 countries have been added to the high-risk list. The list changes go into effect on Sunday, January 30.
New entries to the high-risk list are Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cuba, France, Guatemala, Iraq, Kyrgyzstan, Oman, Pakistan, Palau, Singapore, and Ukraine.
- Travelers from these countries, and other countries on the high-risk list, must present proof of vaccination or recovery to enter Germany without quarantining.
- Travelers who are not vaccinated or have not recovered from COVID-19 must present negative COVID test results and self-isolate for ten days, with the option to test to end quarantine after five days. Additionally, travelers from high-risk countries must complete the digital registration at einreiseanmeldung.de.
The following countries are no longer on the high-risk list: Angola, Burundi, Eswatini, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Namibia, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
