From June 1, Germany will ease the COVID-19 related entry rules for travelers by suspending the “3G rule,” which requires travelers to present either a valid vaccination certificate, proof of recovery, or test certificate to gain entry. The rule will be suspended until the end of August.
Still, should the German government identify any countries as “virus variant areas,” those travelers will have to complete a 14-day quarantine regardless of vaccination history.
Current guidelines only permit fully vaccinated travelers to enter Germany unless the unvaccinated traveler is traveling for essential reasons.
