The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has approved the first phase of a travel system that would allow Gulf Arab nationals to complete all travel procedures at one point. The new system would first run a trial period between the UAE and Bahrain.
Travel procedures under the new system are expected to include immigration, customs and security checks.
If proven successful, the “one-stop” travel system would then be applied across all GCC member states.
