Effective February 6, 2024, foreign nationals can apply directly for French nationality online.
It is no longer necessary to travel to the prefectural office to submit an application, or to send the application by post.
Applicants can track the progress of their application online and upload any additional supporting documents as required. It will only be necessary to appear in person for an integration interview during processing, and for the welcome ceremony if the application is successful.
