Each year, on January 1, France increases the minimum wage to adjust for inflation, which automatically impacts the minimum salary threshold for some Talent Passport categories.
Key Changes
- The minimum annual gross salary for the Talent Passport “Salarié en mission” equals the minimum wage in France (currently equivalent to 19237,44 euros per month) x 1.8, so in January 2022, it’s equal to 34 627,32 €.
- The minimum annual gross salary for the Talent Passport “Qualified employee – young innovative company” is equal to the minimum wage in France x 2, so in January 2022, it’s equal to 38 475 €.
- The minimum annual gross salary for the Talent Passport “Legal Representative (Mandataire social)” is equal to the minimum wage in France x 3, so in January 2022, it’s equal to 57 712,20 €.
For example, an employee who has a Talent Passport “Qualified Employee” with an annual gross salary of 38 147 € (the minimum salary threshold in 2021 for this permit category) must have an increase in their salary to meet the requirements for the Talent Passport “Qualified Employee” in 2022.
