International Updates
Canada | Anyone entering Canada through the land border must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken in the US within the past 72 hours or proof of a positive test result between 14 and 90 days old.
From February 22, land travelers will have to submit to a COVID-19 test on arrival. Air travelers will have to do a mandatory three-day hotel quarantine and submit to multiple COVID-19 tests. There are exemptions for essential personnel and travel.
Israel | The Ministry of Health is introducing a “Green Pass” for individuals who have completed their vaccination or recovered from COVID-19. Green pass holders would have access to Israeli hotels, gyms, and restaurants when they begin to reopen over the next few weeks.
As reported last week, the travel agreement with Greece will also apply to Green Pass holders.
South Africa | The government announced that 20 land border crossings will reopen to regular travel after closing on January 11.
Spain | The government has extended Order PCM/118/2021, limited flights and sea travel between Spain and the UK, and flights between Brazil, South Africa, and Spain until March 2, 2021.

The United Kingdom | Exemptions apply to Spanish or Andorran citizens; residents in Spain or Andorra; state aircraft, tracing and rescue services, non-commercial flights transiting Spain, flights of cargo, humanitarian, medical, or emergency purposes.

Brazil and South Africa | Exemptions apply to Spanish, Andorran citizens and residents in Spain; travelers transiting through Spain to a non-Schengen country with a less than a 24-hour stop and not exiting the transit area of the Spanish airport; state flights, search and rescue services; flights with a stop in the Spanish territory for non-commercial purposes, to reach a final destination; cargo, ferry, humanitarian, medical and emergency flights; aeronautic staff required to undertake air transport business.
Earlier restrictions for non-essential travel from third countries to the EU and Schengen-associated countries are still in force. The entry ban is in place until February 28, 2021, with several exceptions.
