International Updates
France | From Friday, France will be back under a nationwide lockdown. People will be required to stay in their homes except for receiving essential goods or medical attention, or for one hour of exercise per day. People will be permitted to go to work if their employer finds that it would be impossible for them to work from home. Schools will stay open.

Germany | From November 2 – 30, German bars, restaurants, and theaters will close. Shopping centers may operate with limited hours. Schools will remain open.

Slovakia | The government has extended the partial lockdown until November 8.

Switzerland | The government announced various new restrictions to curb the coronavirus’s spread, including closing nightclubs beginning Thursday, in-person university classes at the beginning of next month, and limiting sports and leisure activities. An end date has not been decided.

Following the two rule changes from DOL and DHS that will significantly reshape the H-1B specialty occupation visa program, more than ten lawsuits have been filed against the two agencies.
