International Updates
The EU | On Wednesday, ambassadors from the 27 member countries reviewed the list of countries from which travelers can enter the EU bloc without restrictions. The revised list includes Australia, China, Japan, New Zealand, Rwanda, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, and Uruguay. Singapore was added to the list, and Canada, Georgia, and Tunisia were removed.
The Czech Republic | From Thursday until November 3, the government will require most shops and businesses to close with movement limitations for only essential trips.

Ireland | Prime Minister Michael Martin elevated the nationwide restrictions to the highest Level 5. For the next six weeks, non-essential retail will be closed, and food-service will be limited. People are being told not to travel more than 3 miles from home.

Poland | Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said he would make the recommendation to Parliament that all of Poland should be under the highest level of restrictions. Currently, 88% of the country is already in the “red zone.”

Thailand | The government is extending the current state of emergency until the end of November and considering reducing the number of days required for quarantine from 14 to 10. On Tuesday, the first foreign travelers arrived in Thailand since April, 39 people from Shanghai with a special 90-day visa.

The United Kingdom | Current hospitality restrictions in Scotland have been extended until Monday, November 2.

The United States | On Monday, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued a strong recommendation for anyone using or working on public transportation (vehicles, trains, subways, and airplanes) to wear masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
