Australia | The government imposed a new six-week lockdown following an outbreak in Adelaide. People are required to stay home, wear masks in public, schools and workplaces are closed, and social gatherings like weddings and funerals are banned.

Turkey | President Tayyip Erdogan announced tightened measures following recent increases of coronavirus infection. An overnight lockdown will be in place on the weekends to not disrupt work. Schools will remain closed through the end of the year.

On November 2, DHS proposed H-1B rule changes that would eliminate the current random generated selection of H-1B cap registrations and instead replace the selection process with prioritizing higher wage levels first.
