EIG COVID-19 Update | August 26, 2020

Ireland | As a COVID-19 prevention and response measure, all travelers arriving into Ireland must complete a COVID-19 Passenger Locator Form. From Wednesday, August 26, 2020, the Passenger Locator Form is available online.

The government may use the information provided to contact individuals within 14 days of their arrival, to verify the details, provide public health advice, or for contact tracing. If individuals are traveling to Northern Ireland, they will have to complete a portion of the form. Diplomats and people who are deemed essential supply-chain workers are not required to complete a COVID-19 Passenger Locator Form.

Jordan | The government is instituting a 24-hour lockdown in Amman and al-Zarqa on Friday.

Poland | On August 20, the Journal of Laws introduced a change to remote work policy. From September 5, employers will be able to advise remote work for the duration of the pandemic, and duration months after it is called off. Previously, remote work was allowed until September 4, 2020.

Ukraine | The government has imposed a temporary ban on most foreign travelers entering Ukraine through September 28 and extended the lockdown measures until the end of October.

Vietnam | Ho Chi Minh City authorities have begun to increase tracking of domestic travelers from known hotspots or have been in contact with known COVID-19 positive individuals. Individuals identified as at-risk will be notified by the authorities and instructed to self-quarantine, be tested, and/or to proceed to centralized quarantine/treatment centers.
