Egypt Issues New Restrictions for Unaccompanied Minors Travelling

From January 1, 2024, Egyptian minors (less than 18 years) cannot travel outside of Egypt without their guardian, or  government permission. If a minor is traveling alone, they must obtain Prior Permission from the Communication Dept. affiliated to General Administration of Passports, Immigration and Nationality. Youth athletes traveling with a sports team can travel without permissions from the Communication Department. ​Unaccompanied minors and young travelers must hold a proof of age.
