The US Department of State has authorized the departure of non‑emergency US government personnel and their family members from Israel as of February 27. While staffing has been reduced, Embassy Jerusalem and the Tel Aviv Branch Office remain operational and continue to prioritize emergency services for US citizens.
Routine visa services are temporarily unavailable. Applicants with visa interviews scheduled between Monday, March 2, 2026, and Friday, March 6, 2026, at either location will receive an email with instructions regarding the rescheduling of their appointments once routine operations resume.
