DOS Limits Services at the US Embassy in Lebanon

The US Department of State has directed the departure of non‑emergency US government personnel and the family members of government employees from Beirut as of February 23 due to ongoing safety concerns. While the Embassy remains open, operations are limited, and staffing has been reduced.

The Embassy is continuing to provide emergency services to US citizens; however, routine visa services are currently unavailable. Applicants with scheduled visa interviews will receive an email with information about the postponement of their appointment and instructions for future rescheduling.
