USCIS has responded to stakeholder requests following the announcement of a revised I-539 and New I-539A application forms for Nonimmigrant dependents by revising the terms of the new forms’ introduction. Initially, USCIS announced that the Service would release the new forms on March 11 and would no longer accept the previous version of the form I-539 on the same date. USCIS has revised these terms by releasing the new form on March 8. USCIS will begin accepting the new forms on March 21 and will reject any previous version of Form I-539 that is received after March 20.
