On October 6, the Biden administration announced it would extend and redesignate TPS for Cameroon, extending removal protections and work authorization. The redesignation will run through June 7, 2025, and allow 2,000 current beneficiaries to reapply and 7,900 Cameroonian nationals in the U.S. to apply for TPS for the first time. New applicants must have continuously resided in the U.S. since December 8, 2023.
