DHS Extends Temporary I-9 Flexibility

The Form I-9 requirement flexibility first introduced in March 2020 has been extended to December 31, 2021.

On Tuesday, August 31, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced the temporary flexibility for Form I-9 would extend through the end of the year. The temporary guidance was set to expire on August 31, 2021. The continued extension is a precaution related to COVID-19.
