The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has announced its annual inflation adjustments to several immigration-related fees established under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (H.R. 1). The updated fees affect immigration parole, ESTA travel authorizations, and EVUS enrollments, and will take effect 15 days after publication in the Federal Register on October 1, 2026.
The adjustments are based on the increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI-U) between July 2025 and July 2026, which rose by approximately 3.36%.
New FY 2027 Fee Schedule
Immigration Parole Fee
DHS is increasing the H.R. 1 parole fee from:
- FY 2026: $1,020
- FY 2027: $1,050
The fee applies to most grants of immigration parole, including:
- Initial parole from outside the United States
- Parole in place
- Re-parole
- Parole from DHS custody
unless a statutory exception applies.
ESTA Fee
The fee for the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) will increase from:
- FY 2026: $40.27
- FY 2027: $40.62
For applicants whose ESTA authorization is denied, the fee will be:
- FY 2027: $10.62
This reflects the cost-recovery portion of the ESTA fee that applies regardless of approval.
EVUS Enrollment Fee
The fee for the Electronic Visa Update System (EVUS) will increase from:
- FY 2026: $30.75
- FY 2027: $31.75
EVUS currently applies primarily to certain Chinese nationals holding long-validity B-1/B-2 visitor visas and requires periodic online enrollment before travel to the United States.
Form I-94 Fee Remains Unchanged
The H.R. 1 component of the Form I-94 Arrival/Departure Record fee remains unchanged.
- FY 2027 HR-1 I-94 Fee: $24
For travelers entering through land border ports of entry, the total Form I-94 fee remains:
- $30 total, consisting of:
- $24 H.R. 1 fee
- $6 existing land border fee
Because the inflation adjustment rounded down to zero, no increase was required for FY 2027.
