Following the Council of the European Union’s decision on September 9 to suspend the visa facilitation agreement between the EU and Russia, on September 10, a new Visa Executive Order came into force.
Under the new Executive Order, Russia will move from group 3 to group 5. Accordingly, all applications for short-term visas submitted by Russian citizens from September 10, 2022 will be processed based on group 5 guidance, and will only qualify for visas in cases of extenuating circumstances, such as the death or terminal illness of a family member living in Denmark.
