Denmark Extends Deadline for Britons Applying for Residence

Britons who have resided in Denmark since before December 31, 2022, and submitted their residence permit application after the initial deadline of December 31, 2021, will have the opportunity to reapply.

  • Based on the Withdrawal Agreement, the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI), will allow those who previously submitted their application but were rejected because the deadline had passed may submit a new application until December 31, 2023.
  • Britons living in Denmark who have not yet applied may also apply under the new deadline extension.
  • SIRI will reopen pending applications that were put on hold.

The extension takes effect May 1, 2023.
