Croatia expects to join the Schengen Zone from January 1, 2023. By joining, travel for the 10 million Europeans who go to Croatia each year will be visa-free.
According to Prime minister Andrej Plenkovic, Croatia has met the requirements. In the coming weeks, the EU Justice and Home Affairs Council will assess Crotia’s readiness and ability to protect the border, among other criterion.
