As of October 24, 2023, the governments of Costa Rica and Honduras have reinstated the visa-free entry reciprocity the two countries shared. The policy is effective immediately.
Earlier in October, Costa Rica suspended visa-free entry for nationals of Honduras, and then, Honduras reciprocated with its own suspension.

- Nationals of Costa Rica can visit Honduras without a visa for up to 90 days for tourism and business purposes, with the option to extend for an additional 30 days.
- Nationals of Honduras can visit Costa Rica without a visa for up to 30 days for tourism and business purposes, with the option to extend for a total of 90 days.
- Nationals of Costa Rica and Honduras can present a policy/criminal clearance certificate instead of a visa.
