On November 3, 2025, the government announced that, effective November 10, 2025, it will expand its unilateral visa-free entry arrangements to nationals of Sweden, and extend the program for all 44 eligible countries until December 31, 2026.
Travelers holding valid ordinary passport from 43 countries, namely Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Brunei, Bulgaria, Chile, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro, New Zealand, North Macedonia, Norway, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Uruguay can enter and stay in China for up to 30 days for the purpose of business, tourism, visiting family or friends, exchange and transit.
