China and Azerbaijan Implement Mutual Visa-Free Travel Agreement

The agreement between China and Azerbaijan on the mutual exemption of visas for citizens holding ordinary passports will take effect on July 16, 2025.

According to the agreement, holders of valid Chinese ordinary passports and Azerbaijani ordinary passports will be exempt from applying for a visa if they enter, leave or transit the other country for a single stay of no more than 30 days and a cumulative stay of no more than 90 days per 180 days.

Those who need to stay in the other country for more than 30 days or settle in that country or to engage in activities such as work, study, journalism etc., subject to the prior approval of the competent authorities of that country, must apply for a corresponding visa before entry.
