The Government of Chile has updated entry and exit requirements as of November 1, 2021.
Key Highlights
- Minors under 6 years of age may leave the country. Upon return, they and those who live and travel with them must complete a 7-day quarantine.
- Anyone who has their vaccination scheme validated by the Ministry of Health and who complies with the other requirements will only have to quarantine until they receive negative results from a COVID-19 PCR test.
- Chileans and resident foreigners may enter the country through any border crossing with their sworn statement and a negative PCR taken up to 72 hours before boarding. If they do not have their Mobility Pass, they (and anyone they live with) must complete a 7-day quarantine.
- Foreign nationals must validate their vaccination scheme, submit an affidavit at least 48 hours before boarding, and provide negative results of a COVID-19 PCR test up to 72 hours before the trip. Travelers will have to remain in isolation until they have the result of the PCR test carried out after entering Chile.
- This guidance applies to entry via the Arturo Merino Benítez Airport, the Iquique Airport, and the Antofagasta Airport.
