The US Department of State (DOS) has announced upcoming changes to the Diversity Visa (DV) Program entry process for the DV-2027 cycle. While the exact registration start date has not yet been released, officials confirm that it will be announced as soon as practicable.
What’s Changing?
- The entry process for DV-2027 is being updated, though specific procedural changes have not yet been detailed.
- The Entry Status Check (ESC) will continue to be the official platform for applicants to verify selection results once available.
What’s Not Changing?
- The visa application period for selected DV-2027 applicants remains unchanged:
- Start Date: October 1, 2026
- End Date: September 30, 2027
This means that individuals selected through the DV-2027 lottery will still have a full year to complete their visa applications and interviews.
