As of May 1, 2023, at 9 am ET, striking workers from the IRCC and ESDC have been asked to return to work as a tentative deal has been reached between the government and the labor union.
The agreement still needs to be ratified by the affected workers, but they will be returning to work in the meantime.
As the strike lasted just over one week, we don’t anticipate the processing delays to be significantly greater than those we have seen with the ongoing backlog.
